Short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) benefits provide you with pay in the event you are unable to work due to illness or a non-work-related accident – while you are on an approved disability leave.

Short-Term Disability (STD) 

Starting in 2026, STD is company paid and allows for a 1-week full salary continuation followed by: 

• Up to 8 weeks at 100% of your base salary and up to 18 weeks at 60% of your base salary

Your plan starts paying STD benefits immediately when your disability claim is approved, and you are placed on STD leave due to an accident or illness preventing you from working for a max duration of 26 weeks. 

Long-Term Disability (LTD) 

Once your STD benefit ends at 26 weeks, you become eligible for LTD benefits via MetLife. LTD is company paid and allows for a salary continuation of 60% of base salary up to the monthly maximum of $10,000 in 2026.
